Since my first Musical Monday’s post a few weeks back, I have not had a chance to make this a regular feature but lo and behold! Here it is again.
Try and contain your excitement. No, seriously.
So, topping the UK chart this week we have:
I have mixed feelings about this. There are parts of thing song that I like however Will.I.Am has seriously gone down in my estimations over recent weeks.
When he starred on The Voice UK I found a love for him I didn’t know I had. Then, as if by magic, he took over the UK and appeared EVERYWHERE. First, he ran with the torch (I am sorry but the whole point of the torch was that the runners were nominated for being an inspiration in their local community *cough*Will.I.Am’s not local*cough*) then he sang happy birthday to the Queen, this would possibly be less annoying if he could actually sing and if he had not called her ‘your highness’ as she is, in fact, your Majesty. And if this was not enough THEN he goes and refers to Cheryl Cole as, I quote ‘The pop princess of England’. I am sorry, but this is just too much.
Has dropped one place down to number 2 in the UK charts however it is still dominating the world charts with its number one spot.
I must admit, I am a HUGE fan. I have always like Maroon 5 and generally enjoy most of their music however this one has to be my most recent favourite.
On a Carly Rae Jepson note, she is still taking over the world with her
Still holding the number 1 spot in more than 4 countries world-wide, including the States, she is doing pretty well.
As you know I have just returned from my holidays. Canada is lovely this time of year by the way.
Anyway.. I happened to see her perform at the free Sound of Music festival in Burlington. If it wasn’t for her extremely goofy and cringe worthy comments between her songs, she was pretty good.
